The Primary 1 interview will involve describing objects, which tests the children’s expressive ability, observation and organizational skills. It seems simple, but how to break out, described carefully, can follow the steps below:
1. Observe the object: appearance, shape, color, size, texture, etc.
2. Describe the appearance: Start with the appearance of the object and describe it clearly.
3. Describe the details: such as function, features and structure.
4. Use adjectives: they can enhance the content of the description. For example, an object is smooth, soft, etc., which can also help you convey your feeling about the object.
5. Metaphor: For example, the color of a rose is like the red of an apple.
6. Organize the description: Organize it into a logical and organized description.
Through these steps, children will be able to describe objects carefully. Remember, the more detailed and clear the description, the more clearly others will understand the characteristics and properties of the object.
Children and parents, please cheer up 🫶🏼
